The 487 (NZ) Squadron group are having a get together for family members of the squadron coming up on October 31st & November 1st in Christchurch.

DAY ONE:
Air Force Museum of New Zealand, Wigram.
Adults $34, Children $25
Lunch, talks/activities and time to chat and meet others connected with the squadron.

Dinner is optional and will be at the Wigram Hotel (the old RNZAF officers mess). You will need to cover your own costs for this.

DAY TWO:
Ferrymead Aeronautical Society
$20
A tour of the hangar and to see the last remaining 487 Squadron Mosquito that they are currently restoring. There is also a Hudson and a number of other aircraft. The cost for this is $20 and covers a donation to the Aeronautical Society and admission to the Heritage Park, so you are welcome to have a look at the rest of the park also.

Unfortunately, space in the hangar is very limited so to start with I’ve had to limit this to 2 people per group, but will open this up if spots don’t fill. It is also a functioning workshop with tools and machinery and other hazards, so not suitable for young children. There is wheelchair access to the hangar but space is tight in some places
